Safety Town 2014
Safety Town will be offered July 7-August 1. The one week program allows children entering Kindergarten in September to participate in fun activities about safety in their home, community, and school. Click here for additional information and to access the online registration.  Kindergarten children and volunteer registration starts April 1, 2014.
Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Grades
As per the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) (P.L.2010, c.122), the Wayne Township Public Schools has posted its Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act grades to the district's HIB webpage, and to each individual school's webpage. School Announcements
6th & 7th Grade Class Trips

The 6th grade class is planning a trip to West Point Military Academy on Tuesday, June 10th.

Whereas, the 7th grade class is planning two trips to Dey Mansion: the Pacesetters will go on Wednesday, June 11th and the Mustangs will go on Thursday, June 12th.

All students will depart at 8:30 am and return to school by 2:30 pm. The cost for both grade levels is $10/student. Please download the grade level information and permission slip: grade six or grade seven. All permission slips for either grade must be returned no later than Friday, April 25th.


Annual Yearbook Sale

All students in grades sixth, seventh, and eighth can purchase a color yearbook for $45. With a yearbook purchase, eighth grade students can order a commemorative DVD for an additional $5.

Anyone interested in purchasing a yearbook must do so in advance. Please note, however, we are no longer accepting checks, orders must be made online directly through the Jostens website. Order now!


Comeback Clothes Campagin

In an effort to give back to our world, the 7th graders are participating in DoSomething.org's Comeback Clothes Campaign and are collecting unwanted, used, and/or abused clothing to donate. Additionally, students who participate, upon submission of a photo, will be eligible to win a $10,000 scholarship. Click here for further information and the permission slip.



The Latin Quiz Bowl

Congratulations to our AW students - Danielle, Rohan, Nayef, and Sangjun - who took FIRST PLACE in the State Championship for Latin I!

On Saturday, April 5, the group competed at Clearview Regional High School in Mullica Hill, NJ and accomplished an overwhelming victory. They are now eligible to compete for the National Championship to be held at Emory University, Atlanta , Georgia from July 28 - August 2, 2014.

WVHS Cheerleading Tryouts

All eighth grade students who will be attending Wayne Valley next fall and are interested in trying out for the high school cheering team should click here for further information.

Tryouts will be held May 28th, 29th, and 30th.




National History Day Results

AWMS had eight 7th grade Social Studies student projects competing in the National History Day Regional Competition held at Seton Hall University. All of the groups presented great work and Anthony Wayne is pleased to report that two groups qualified to go on to the state level competition at William Paterson on May 3rd! Way to go! 

Congratulations to all the students who partcipated, as well as their social studies teachers: Ms. Miller and Mr. Rohan.


AW Parent Forum

Thank you to everyone who attended the Parent Coffee and/or Parent Forum on March 13th.


For those of you that were unable to attend, but are still interested in the information that was presented, click here to access the PowerPoint presentation utilized during the forum to present information regarding changes to the curriculum as a result of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), in addition to the anticipated changes to our state assessment with the new PARCC assessment, replacing the NJASK, next school year.
